Curriculum and Modules

The program is built on three core pillars: the theory and practice of strategic HRM, the principles of statistics and data analytics, and the application of data analytics to HR problems. Strategic Human Resource Management

30 Credits

Provides a grounding in the fundamentals of HRM as a strategic activity, covering workforce planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, pay and performance management, and the ethics of people management. This module supports the core knowledge required for chartered membership of the CIPD.

Data Analytics for Human Resources

30 Credits

Gives you grounding in the statistical concepts and machine learning that underpin the practice of people analytics, focusing on how to apply data science and statistics to understand the causes of human behaviour at work so that analysis can guide management action.

HR Analytics: Strategy and Practice

30 Credits

Introduces the fundamental principles of analytics in the context of human resource management, drawing on strategic human capital theory. You will gain exposure to quantitative techniques and software packages essential for developing analytical literacy, using practical examples from the NHS and other large organisations.

HR Analytics Research Methods and Dissertation Project
