Political Ecology MA
Lancaster University, United Kingdom
The MA in Political Ecology focuses on a range of themes including the politics of resource extraction, water, climate politics and the green economy. True learning is rooted in dialogue and critical reflection, rather than lectures alone. Through a series of core and optional modules, the programme offers novel approaches to learning and teaching, engaging students in creative classes, both on and off campus. Participants develop the necessary tools to understand the complex relationships between humans and the environment, and to explore how society might address and overcome the challenges of living on Earth.
The final phase of the Master’s is a dissertation project. Students can choose to work alongside a world-leading academic or an industry partner on a topic relevant to political ecology.
