The MSc Ecological Survey Skills with Placement at the University of Reading is designed to give you the knowledge and practical experience that employers in the ecology, conservation, and ecological consultancy sectors demand. The School of Biological Sciences has partnered with ecological consultants at RSK Group Ltd since 2011, and more recently with Aspect Ecology, to deliver a course that provides the precise skills and knowledge demanded by these industries. More than half of all credits on the program are overseen by practicing consultants, making this course unique in the UK.
In addition to hands-on taught modules with no written examinations, you will undertake a six-month paid work placement with a leading ecological consultancy. The university has ring-fenced paid placements with partner ecological consultants, ensuring you gain proven work experience and extensive networking opportunities before graduating.
