Program Overview: Climate Change, Management and Finance MSc
The MSc Climate Change, Management and Finance at Imperial College London is an interdisciplinary 12-month programme that equips graduates with the skills required in business on issues relating to climate change and sustainability. You will learn from leading practitioners and faculty how to put the latest academic thinking and business strategies into practice, preparing you to lead the transition to a green economy.
This programme is jointly run with the Grantham Institute - Climate Change and the Environment, Imperial's pioneering research hub. The partnership with the Grantham Institute and the Business School's Centre for Climate Change Investment creates a uniquely rigorous and research-backed experience, offering connections to industry, policymakers, and cutting-edge research.
Based at Imperial's South Kensington campus in London, you will be at the heart of one of the world's leading financial and cultural centres, surrounded by UK expertise driving climate change action forward. The programme draws on expertise from across the Business School, the Grantham Institute, and Imperial College to explore the challenges and opportunities that climate change presents to business and society.

Curriculum & Modules
The programme comprises eight compulsory core modules taught across three academic terms, complemented by seven elective modules that allow you to specialise in either management or finance. You will learn through a combination of lectures, seminars, discussions, group exercises, case studies, and guest speakers. In the summer term, you choose between a group-based consulting project, individual work placement, or individual research project.

Climate Change Science, Policy and Technology
Core ModuleProvides a rigorous grounding in climate science, mitigation technologies, and the policy frameworks underpinning international agreements on carbon reduction targets.
Corporate Finance and Climate Risk
Core ModuleExamines how climate risks affect corporate finance decisions, including valuation, risk management, and the integration of climate factors into financial analysis.

Academic Requirements
- Academic QualificationFirst or 2:1 (Upper Second Class Honours) degree in a quantitative subject such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, or Business
- GMAT/GRENot required, but scores in the 90th percentile will strengthen your application. Scores are valid for five years.
- Career PlanA well-researched career plan with clear short-term and long-term goals is required
- InterviewShortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online video interview as part of the selection process

English Language Requirements
- IELTS (Academic)Minimum overall score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in all elements
