San Francisco State University (SFSU) is a public university and a member of the 23-campus California State University system. Founded in 1899 as the San Francisco State Normal School, the institution was originally established by an act of the California legislature to address the city's pressing need for well-trained teachers.

Provides immigration advising, cultural programming, and support services for international students on F-1 and J-1 visas. Located in the Science and Engineering Innovation Center, 5th Floor.
International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through TOEFL (iBT 61+ for undergraduate, 80+ for graduate) or IELTS (6.0+ for undergraduate, 6.5+ for graduate).
Eligible F-1 and J-1 students may work on campus up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during summer sessions and semester breaks.
