Graduates of the Degree Program in Medical Radiology, Imaging, and Radiotherapy Techniques must have acquired the knowledge, skills, and aptitude to practice as a Medical Radiology Technician.
To achieve this goal, graduates in Medical Radiology, Imaging, and Radiotherapy Techniques must demonstrate the ability to:
- manage the technical-diagnostic procedures of image acquisition and processing according to scientific evidence and guidelines;
- evaluate the quality of the iconographic document produced and whether it complies with the requirements of the investigation proposal;
- manage the technical-diagnostic procedures of imaging transmission and archiving using telemedicine and remote image transmission systems;
- provide radiotherapy/hadrontherapy treatments;
- collaborate with the medical physicist in planning proton therapy treatments;
- use quality control, evaluation, and review methodologies and tools;
- implement radiation protection and safety regulations and use personal protective equipment;
- ensure the care of adult and pediatric patients throughout the diagnostic and therapeutic process by welcoming the patient, obtaining informed consent for their area of expertise, and providing all the information necessary for the successful completion of the healthcare service.

- ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy during diagnostic tests and radiotherapy treatments;
- act responsibly towards patients and the Service by adopting professional behavior consistent with ethical and professional principles;
- collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sharing solutions to management and organizational issues;
- utilize company information systems for data collection, analysis, and information management, replenishment of supplies, and professional communications.
- seek the best scientific evidence to explore areas of uncertainty or improvement in their professional practice;
- have a good command of English to exchange instructions and information within their specific area of expertise.
