Marche Polytechnic University (Università Politecnica delle Marche – UNIVPM) is a public university located in Ancona, Italy. The University of Siena (UniSi) is located in Siena, Tuscany, central Italy. It is one of Italy’s first publicly funded universities and has a long history, starting in 1240 as the Studium Senese. It has a student population in the ballpark of 15,000-20,000 students (varies by year). Strong in law, medicine, economics & management among its fields. Offers a good number of degrees in English, especially at master’s and undergraduate levels, to accommodate international students. It also engages actively in research and is fairly visible in international ranking tables.

On 6 December 1967, with a request of the Commissioner of the prefect of the Consortium for the Institute of Architecture of Reggio Calabria the University of Reggio Calabria was founded. The legal recognition comes with the Presidential Decree (no. 1543), of 17 June 1968 which marks the birth of the Free University Institute of Architecture. Salvatore Boscarino, a professor at the University of Catania, held the first lesson, on 18 December 1967, titled "Elements of Architecture and survey monuments".
