Overview
Such Degree Programme is also aimed at Public Administrations’ civil servants, providing them with the essential tools to face the challenges posed by recent reforms as well as high-level skills to understand and implement ongoing changes and to achieve the top roles of public bodies.
After a first year in common, this course is divided into four curricula:
Public Policies and Governance;
Public Management;
Public safety and crime;
Innovation and digitalization in healthcare.
The first will investigate the functioning of public administrations from a European point of view, providing legal and institutional skills. The second will deepen the economic, financial and managerial dynamics of public and private organizations, developing managerial skills. The third will provide skills in areas such as criminology, security, prevention and privacy, training public safety specialists. The fourth addresses the multiple perspectives involved in the digital transition process in healthcare in order to train operators capable of seizing the opportunities that the modernization of the sector offers. The teaching model adopted ensures that the student receives assisted learning throughout the entire training course. The student will be assigned a specific reference teacher who will follow him/her throughout his/her studies. In addition to normal teaching, seminars and in-depth meetings with national and international experts are planned, in order to combine the theoretical aspect with the practical and professionalizing one. Thanks to the skills acquired, graduates in Sciences of Administration will be able to access a wide spectrum of professional profiles with a high level of organizational, management and control responsibility of central, regional and local public administrations, constitutional bodies, European bodies, non-governmental organizations, independent administrative authorities, public companies and public bodies in general. The solid interdisciplinary training and managerial competence acquired, opens up employment opportunities also in the private sector, increasingly interconnected with the public administration. The knowledge that will be acquired during the course will in fact guarantee the mastery of methodologies that adapt to both the public and private sectors.
