Liberal Arts BA

This Liberal Arts degree offers a flexible, interdisciplinary approach, allowing you to combine subjects from the humanities and social sciences while shaping your studies around your interests. You’ll choose a major subject such as History, Politics, or Sociology, alongside optional modules exploring themes like global change, culture, and communication.

In year 1, you build a foundation in your major subject while being introduced to interdisciplinary thinking and cross-disciplinary skills through core modules. In year 2, you deepen your knowledge by focusing more on your major, while also completing a group research project, often in collaboration with external organisations. You may also choose to take a year abroad or a work placement. In your final year, you apply your advanced analytical and research skills in an independent project on a topic of your choice, while continuing to study both your major and broader themes.

Teaching includes lectures, seminars, and workshops, supported by independent study and research-led learning. Assessment is varied, including essays, presentations, and collaborative projects.
