Chemical Engineering (with Placement Year) MEng

The School of Engineering placement team coordinates MEng placements and maintains strong relationships with industrial partners. Support in securing a placement includes advertising opportunities, organising events to assist with applications and interviews, providing guidance throughout the process and offering advice to help maximise the experience. All industrial placements advertised by the School of Engineering are paid opportunities. There is also the option to source an independent placement within a relevant company or overseas research institution. The industrial placement enables the application of degree knowledge to a graduate-level project while developing new transferable skills and may contribute towards the professional experience requirement for Chartered Engineer status.
