Applied Sport and Exercise Sciences (Sport Psychology) MSc

The program immerses students in sport psychology by starting with an examination of theory and research, then progressing to applying this knowledge as researchers and practitioners. Modules include Contemporary Issues and Advanced Applied Sport Psychology, where students explore social and cultural factors influencing athletes and develop personalized practice frameworks. The Sport and Exercise Work-Based Learning module offers industry placements to enhance employability, supported by the university's partnerships. The program concludes with the Sport Research Project (120 credits), an in-depth investigation allowing students to contribute to sport psychology literature. Students critically review theoretical discourses and apply knowledge creatively, considering interrelationships with other disciplines.
