Writtle University College, established in 1893 as the County Laboratories in Chelmsford, Essex, is one of the oldest specialist institutions in the United Kingdom. For over 130 years, it has been a leading provider of land-based, animal, environmental, design, and sport education, producing skilled graduates who have gone on to hold senior positions in more than 100 nations worldwide.

Set on a picturesque 220-hectare countryside estate in the historic village of Writtle, just outside Chelmsford, the institution offers a unique blend of rural immersion and proximity to London, which is only 35 minutes away by train. The campus features a working farm, an equine centre, science laboratories, design studios, a canine therapy clinic, and a specialist animal unit.
