As one of the youngest medical faculties in Germany, we combine excellent teaching, innovative research, and modern patient care within a close-knit, interdisciplinary structure . Our administration supports efficient processes that enable a seamless integration of research, teaching, and clinical practice.

At our university clinics, academic teaching hospitals, and institutes from Bochum to East Westphalia-Lippe, scientific findings flow directly into training and patient care. Our academic procedures—from doctoral studies to habilitation and appointment—guarantee the highest scientific standards.

Central facilities such as the university library, the workshop and the Medical Research Services provide the necessary infrastructure, while the student council represents the interests of the students and is active in important committees of the faculty and the university.
