The  orderly structure of the study plan  from antiquity to the present day allows for  a calm and gradual study , facilitated by the  familiar and collaborative atmosphere  and by  direct contact with the teachers .

All disciplines are presented from  an interdisciplinary perspective  that fosters dialogue between the different sectors of the humanities.

Reflection  on cultures  and a critical attitude towards texts, documents, and complex systems allows students to develop an understanding of the contexts of past and present eras.

The Master's Degree in Humanistic Cultures is divided into two curricula:

  1. Historical-Literary and Philological Teaching : This program provides access to training courses for teaching literature, literary subjects, and Latin in middle and high schools for the A-12 (and former A-22) and A-11 competitive classes. It also provides advanced training in European literary production from Mediterranean antiquity to the contemporary age, through a solid methodological foundation and a historical-philological approach that allows students to develop their own lines of research in the various fields covered by the program's multiple scientific-disciplinary sectors, with the prospect of accessing higher levels of university education (PhD, Master's).
  2. Comparative Artistic and Literary Cultures : provides advanced training in European artistic and literary production from the Mediterranean Middle Ages to the contemporary age, from a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective, also focusing on cultural planning and the valorization of the local artistic and literary heritage. This program may also lead to further studies at higher levels of university education (PhD, Master's degree). It provides access to teaching in secondary schools for the History of Art (A-54) competitive class.
