Curriculum and Modules

The B.Sc. Informatics program requires 180 ECTS credits distributed across core informatics modules, mathematics, an application subject, elective courses, and transferable skills. The first four semesters build foundational knowledge, while the fifth and sixth semesters allow for individual specialization and culminate in the bachelor's thesis and colloquium.

Introduction to Informatics and Programming

12 ECTS

A foundational module covering core programming concepts, algorithmic thinking, and introductory computer science principles. This is one of the key first-semester modules required for the aptitude assessment.

Introduction to Computer Architecture

8 ECTS

Covers the fundamental principles of computer hardware organization, processor design, memory hierarchies, and instruction set architectures.

Discrete Structures

8 ECTS

Provides the mathematical foundations essential for computer science, including logic, set theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and algebraic structures.

Algorithms and Data Structures

6 ECTS

Introduces fundamental algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and problem-solving strategies essential for efficient software development.

Software Engineering

6 ECTS

Covers principles and methodologies for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software systems, including project management and quality assurance practices.

Analysis and Linear Algebra
