State-of-the-Art Facilities

The Joanne Woodyard Boyle Health Sciences Center is home to our Natural and Health Sciences programs, including the Nutrition and Dietetics Program. In this building you will have access to classrooms and food science and research labs dedicated to the study of nutrition and dietetics.

Program Schedule & Format

Undergraduate Phase

During the undergraduate phase (B.S. in Nutrition Science, first 3.5 years) you will be taking classes in the traditional on-campus semester format. You will begin initial coursework in nutrition and dietetics, then transition into a model that integrates experiential learning with coursework. You will follow the same academic calendar as other undergraduate majors.

Graduate Phase

During the graduate (M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics, 1.5 years) phase, you will spend the first year taking online courses. Your last semester will be devoted to 40 hours per week of supervised experiential learning at various sites. 

Supervised Experiential Learning Placement

Seton Hill’s Nutrition and Dietetics Program maintains relations with many acute care facilities, long-term care facilities, school districts, and other public and private health agencies and businesses. We will coordinate your placement in practical learning sites that will prepare you to become a registered dietitian nutritionist. Our curriculum includes up to 1300 hours of supervised experiential learning.
