Overview
This course is designed for architects, landscape architects, environmental designers, and strategic planners who want to be involved in shaping and designing the cities of the future.
Design projects will respond to live briefs at a range of scales, from strategic planning to site-specific interventions. Key themes include the public realm, green and blue infrastructure, resilient and adaptive city strategies, urban growth and transformation over time, climate change, biodiversity, and transitional zones.
Through critical case studies and your final MA project, you will be able to tailor the course to your individual interests, allowing you to explore selected areas in greater depth.
You will be taught by research-active staff who are engaged with the latest thinking in the field and who bring best practice into their teaching. In addition, you will have opportunities to collaborate with industry partners at both national and international levels.
