Program Overview: M.A. Entrepreneurship at ISM
The M.A. Entrepreneurship at ISM prepares you to found, develop, and establish successful startups by combining rigorous business management theory with hands-on practical projects. From your first business idea to a mature business plan, you will develop real business models and be optimally prepared for entering the startup ecosystem.
This program is offered at ISM's Cologne and Berlin campuses and is taught entirely in English. It includes an integrated semester abroad at one of ISM's 190 partner universities, a 12-week compulsory internship, and the option to earn an international double degree at a partner institution.
ISM is the first private German university of applied sciences to hold the prestigious AACSB accreditation, placing it among the top 6% of business schools worldwide. The program is also accredited by FIBAA and the German Accreditation Council, ensuring internationally recognized quality standards.

Curriculum & Modules
The M.A. Entrepreneurship curriculum spans four semesters, including a semester abroad and a practice-oriented master's thesis. In addition to core modules in governance, project management, growth management, and financing, you will be trained in specialized topics such as succession management and startup development through practical projects.

Admission Requirements
The M.A. Entrepreneurship at ISM is not subject to a numerus clausus (NC). Instead, ISM conducts an internal admission test that evaluates your motivation, skills, and personality. The test consists of a brief case study presentation and an online interview with the program director.
