Bachelor admission process (see Bachelor admission process guide for sample questions: https://en.ism.de/images/downloads/admission-process-guide-bachelor.pdf):

The admission process selects those applicants who are best suited to study at ISM due to their abilities, motivation and personality.

The admission process takes place in one day and is divided into two parts:

1. Performance grades

The assessment includes a test in Mathematics and in English. The Bachelor’s programs that are taught 100% in English do not require previous knowledge of German language. A test or preliminary course is therefore not necessary. Foreign applicants who cannot certify a B2-level in German do have to take German as second foreign language during their studies. All other applicants have to choose between French and Spanish. If they already are skilled in one of these languages, they will also do a proficiency test, only to assess their language level for the future classes.

2. Personal interview

The personal interview is structured as a classic job interview and examines your essential personality traits. The interview is about your career, your professional and personal development goals and reasons for your motivation to study.

Master admission process:

The admission process consists of a case study and an interview. You will present your results of the case study in an oral presentation on the day of the admission test.

1st case study:

After your online registration for the admission process, we will send you questions which you will prepare in the form of a presentation and a written elaboration for the day of the interview. You send us the results of this case study by e-mail at least 48 hours before your interview so that we can evaluate them before the interview.

If we have not received your case study by this time, you will unfortunately not be admitted to the selection procedure and will still have to pay the fees.

2nd interview:

The aim of the interview is to check essential personality traits. Important contents include information about your personal career, professional and personal goals and reasons for your motivation to study. Furthermore, the head of the study program can discuss the results of your case study with you during the interview.

The announcement of admission to the study program will be made shortly after the interview.

MBA admission process:

The admission process consists of a case study and an interview. You will present your results of the case study in an oral presentation on the day of the admission test.

1st case study:

After your online registration for the admission process, we will send you questions which you will prepare in the form of a presentation and a written elaboration for the day of the interview. You send us the results of this case study by e-mail at least 48 hours before your interview so that we can evaluate them before the interview.

If we have not received your case study by this time, you will unfortunately not be admitted to the selection procedure and will still have to pay the fees.

2nd interview:

The recording procedure consists of a personal conversation.

The personal interview will be conducted in English. The aim is, among other things, to assess the applicant's motivation and suitability for his or her professional and private life as well as his or her knowledge of English.

The result will be communicated to the applicant approximately two weeks after the interview.

After the successful completion of the admission test, students will receive firstly a Letter of Acceptance with the information regarding the deposit (3,000 €). Students have 10 working days to accept the offer by signing the Letter of Acceptance and making the deposit. After we receive the signed offer and deposit, we will provide the study contract. After we receive the signed offer and deposit, we will provide the study contract. After we receive the signed study contract, we will provide the letter of admission for the German Embassy. The paid deposit will be credited to the tuition fees in the first semester. If the visa application is denied, the paid deposit will be refunded completely upon written notice from German authorities. If the study contract is not signed or withdrawn within 14 days, ISM will retain 500 € from the deposit for administrative charge and the rest of the deposit will be refunded.
