International Relations MA

The International Relations MA delivers an interdisciplinary curriculum that examines contemporary global challenges such as armed conflict, terrorism, state fragility, inequality, migration, energy insecurity, climate change, and worldwide governance structures. Students engage with theoretical frameworks ranging from realist and liberal models to critical approaches including securitisation, decoloniality and the role of emotions, applying these perspectives to historical continuities and contrasts in international power relations. The programme emphasises rigorous analytical training, advanced research methods, and the development of communication and cross‑cultural competencies that prepare graduates for impactful roles across public, private and non‑governmental sectors.
