The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) is a national scheme run by the Office for Students that recognises providers for high quality teaching and student outcomes. The TEF assesses and rates universities and colleges for excellence above a set of minimum requirements for quality and standards.

The University of Westminster has been rated Silver in the latest TEF 2023. This means that our standard of delivery in these areas and overall has been judged to be typically Very High Quality. We have always strived to create offerings that respond imaginatively to the varied needs and aspirations of our diverse audiences, and we have a firm and historic commitment to equality and diversity, building an environment that is welcoming and inclusive for all our students and colleagues. At the University of Westminster, diversity, inclusion and equality of opportunity are at the core of how we engage with students, colleagues, applicants, visitors and all our stakeholders.

We are fully committed to enabling a supportive and safe learning and working environment which is equitable, diverse and inclusive, is based on mutual respect and trust, and in which harassment and discrimination are neither tolerated nor acceptable.
