Program Overview: German and Business Studies BA
The German and Business Studies BA combines the study of German language, culture and contemporary society with an in-depth understanding of business concepts and practice. This joint degree is split between the School of Modern Languages and Cultures and Warwick Business School, giving you access to expertise from two highly regarded departments.
On the Business Studies side, you can take many different pathways including human resource management, accounting, finance, organisational behaviour, operations management, industrial relations, corporate strategy and auditing. The German component enables you to acquire in-depth knowledge of German business language, culture, society and history through intensive language work and cultural modules.
A distinctive feature of this degree is the integrated year abroad, typically spent in your second or third year at a partner university in Germany (including Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Dresden), as a language assistant, or on a work placement.
