Curriculum and Modules

The BSc Psychology and Coaching curriculum is structured across three years, integrating core psychological science with progressive coaching skills development. Fundamentals of Coaching and Coaching Psychology

Core Module

Provides an overview of coaching, its history, uses, and evolving methods. You will learn to differentiate between coaching, coaching psychology, mentoring, and therapy while developing core skills like active listening, questioning, and summarising.

Foundations of Psychology

Core Module

Explores the foundations of psychology including cognitive, biological, developmental, and social psychology. You will gain essential knowledge of key areas and research methods that form the basis of your degree.

Research Methods and Data Analysis

Core Module

Introduces research approaches and data analysis methods used in psychology. You will learn to develop research questions and analyse data using both quantitative and qualitative methods, essential for your final-year research project.

Coaching Psychology Methods and Practice

Core Module

Offers deep insights into coaching psychology, covering various theoretical frameworks, models, and research. You will practise coaching using six different approaches, developing your own style and coaching map for future practice.
