Cognitive Neuroscience

You will receive training in the neurobiology and psychological aspects of cognitive neuroscience, with options in developmental psychology and psychopathology. During your studies you will be encouraged to use our world class facilities that include:

brain imaging systems and eye-tracking

psychophysiology

nutritional testing

virtual reality and haptic laboratories.

Our School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences is housed in a modern building with extensive teaching and research facilities, including:

a state-of-the-art multi-million pound neuroimaging centre

fMRI, EEG and TMS facilities

computing facilities for modelling and analytical purposes.

You will have access to our three public-facing in-house NHS clinics, which enhance our teaching while providing invaluable support and treatment to the local community:

In addition to the facilities and resources provided in our on-campus University Library, our department provides a dedicated study room for MSc students complete with computing facilities. There is a further separate student resources room which can be used for quiet study or group discussions and is fully equipped with Wi-Fi and kitchen facilities.
