Physics
University of Perugia Campus, Italy
The graduate in Physics does acquire those fundamental knowledges that allow him an exhaustive understanding of theoretical, experimental and technological developments in Physics. Peculiar attention is devoted to the foundation of classical mechanics, thermodynamics, electrodynamics, quantum mechanics and special relativity, as well as to the application of the Galileo's experimental method, and hence the use of innovative instruments and analysis data techniques. He must be able to analyze data sets coming from either experimental measurements or theoretical studies, by taking advantage from acquired knowledges and by developing new ad-hoc techniques. Finally, he has to acquire the ability of transmitting the results of his research for the purposes of both, knowledge dissemination and teaching.
