Program Overview: International Politics, Law and Economics (IPLE)
The IPLE Bachelor's degree is a three-year, fully English-taught program offering interdisciplinary education in political science, law, economics, history, and sociology, with a particular emphasis on the political, economic, and legal dimensions of the contemporary international context. It was the first English-taught bachelor's program offered by a public university in Italy in the field of Political and International Sciences.
The program is run jointly by three departments within the Faculty of Political, Economic and Social Sciences: the Department of International, Legal, Historical and Political Studies (DILHPS), the Department of Social and Political Sciences (SPS), and the Department of Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods (DEMM). Students choose between two specialized curricula: International Politics and Economics, or International Politics and Law.
Located in a historic building in central Milan near the Duomo, the program provides extensive opportunities for Erasmus+ exchanges with universities across Europe and beyond, including a double degree program with Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (UPPA) in France. The University of Milan is the only Italian university among the 21 members of LERU (League of European Research Universities).
