Sustainable Agriculture and Food Production MSc

This MSc in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Production develops advanced knowledge of how to create resilient, environmentally responsible food systems. In the first semester, you’ll explore global challenges such as food security, sustainable diets, and crop and livestock production, while building core research and data analysis skills.

In the second semester, you’ll deepen your expertise through applied topics including crop science, biotechnology, agricultural policy, and circular agri-food systems, alongside developing field and environmental monitoring skills.

The programme culminates in a 60-credit research project, where you design and carry out an independent study, often with academic or industry supervision. Core modules include crop production, protein systems, food security, and sustainable agriculture in practice.

Teaching combines lectures, workshops, fieldwork, and practical sessions, with strong emphasis on hands-on learning. Assessment is entirely coursework-based, including projects, reports, presentations, and data analysis tasks. The course equips you with technical, research, and problem-solving skills for careers in agriculture, sustainability, policy, or further study.
