Be an agriscience teacher in the dynamic field of agriculture by educating the innovators and leaders of the future. The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Management and Education aims to discover solutions to the world's social, environmental, economic and resource challenges. Students who opt for the teaching emphasis prepare for a career in agricultural education in grades 9-12 and as FFA advisers, and also enjoy opportunities to educate the public in informal settings. The B.S. degree coursework runs the gamut from basic sciences - plant, soil and animal - to agricultural mechanics and the principles of the teaching-learning process. The program concludes with a 14-week student teaching internship at a cooperating center in Arizona.
