Fashion (2 Years) MFA

This postgraduate programme offers a space for creative minds to explore fashion’s future and develop skills to become leaders and innovators in the industry. Depending on the chosen degree, students complete 6 to 8 modules focused on reflecting on research projects, defining creative and technical practice, and building a professional portfolio of independent and original work. The programme includes practice-based experience through live industry projects and a 10-12 week master's-level placement in a field related to career goals. For the MFA option, which extends to 2 years, Year 1 involves research, creative practice, and interdisciplinary projects, leading to a larger research project in Year 2. Coursework is based on practice-based research, emphasizing conceptual and technical exploration, sustainable practices, and industry engagement. Students create a professional portfolio, complete a live project or internship, and produce a final body of work for exhibition. The MFA includes an additional module for developing discipline-specific creative practice in a supervised, independent manner, culminating in a professional-standard output. The programme aims to foster innovation, ethical design, and career readiness through hands-on approaches and industry connections.
