Curriculum and Modules

Theoretical Physics

Advanced study of theoretical frameworks including group theory, Lie algebras, representations in physics, and methods for solving partial differential equations relevant to modern physics.

Quantum Mechanics II

9 ECTS

In-depth exploration of advanced quantum mechanics topics including perturbation theory, scattering theory, and quantum field theory foundations essential for particle and condensed matter physics.

Nuclear and Particle Physics

9 ECTS

Covers the Standard Model of particle physics, electroweak unification, quantum chromodynamics (QCD), and experimental techniques in high-energy physics research.

Condensed Matter Physics

Study of solid and surface physics, including chemical bonding in matter, electronic properties, and the physical and chemical properties of condensed matter systems.

Plasma Physics

Covers Boltzmann and Vlasov equations, wave properties and instabilities in the kinetic regime of plasmas, and their applications in astrophysical and laboratory settings.

Master's Thesis Research

Admission Requirements
