Biology
University of Calabria Campus, Italy
A degree in Biology provides access to subsequent master's degree programs in Biology or related degree programs, without, however, precluding direct access to the world of work and the profession, including through a first-level master's degree. Graduates of the L-13 degree program may register (upon passing the relevant state exam) in the Register of Biologists, Section B, with the professional title of Junior Biologist. The degree program provides graduates with the technical and operational skills necessary for the management and use of living organisms and their constituents for biological and biomedical analysis, biomolecular methodologies and techniques, biological safety, and quality control. Graduates will be able to carry out professional and technical activities in various fields of application, such as production and technological activities in laboratories and public and private research and service organizations. Graduates will be able to work in multidisciplinary teams with defined degrees of autonomy and readily integrate into work environments, both within and beyond Europe.
