Marseille Campus, France
Overview
A scientific laboratory project brings together 4 to 6 students on a research topic proposed by a teacher-researcher or researcher and chosen by the students. A project lasts one semester, during which students will regularly meet with the supervisor in their laboratory to work on the chosen topic. Depending on the topics, students may be required to conduct experiments in the supervisor's laboratory or use software developed by the laboratory. At the end of the semester, students must produce a report and give an oral presentation.
For more information and in particular examples of topics, see the "Training and Research" section further down this page.
The MPCI degree program allows for several science internships in laboratories or in companies. During these internships, students must have the opportunity to put their scientific knowledge into practice. Laboratory internships allow them to discover the reality of the research profession.
- Mandatory one-month internship during the third year. Thanks to funding from Amidex, students can receive a scholarship to complete their internship abroad.
- Every summer (during the months of June, July, and August), students have the opportunity to complete an optional laboratory internship in France or abroad. Depending on the year, between 35% and 50% of undergraduate students choose to complete a summer internship.
For more information and in particular examples of internship subjects, consult the study organization page.
