Curriculum and Modules
The BSc (Hons) in Cybercrime and IT Security is structured across four years, progressing from foundational computing and networking skills to advanced cybersecurity specialisations. Students build expertise through mandatory modules and have the flexibility to choose electives in their final year.
Covers programming fundamentals across multiple languages, progressing to scripting for cybersecurity and secure application development in later years.
Builds skills from basic networking concepts through switching, VLAN, wireless, and routing to enterprise network security, preparing you to design and secure complex network environments.
Teaches you to assess the security posture of digital environments by identifying vulnerabilities and performing controlled penetration testing to strengthen defences.
Focuses on basic malware analysis, digital forensics investigation techniques, and reverse engineering to support cybercrime detection and evidence gathering.
Explores cryptographic methods for securing data and communications alongside the legal and compliance frameworks governing cybercrime and data protection.
