The Department considers the live, dynamic and synergistic relationship between teachers and students essential for teaching, supporting students also through tutoring activities, regular evaluation of teaching quality and the international openness of studies.

The Department of Humanities Studies offers a multidisciplinary and cutting-edge educational program: 3 bachelor's degree courses, 8 master's degree courses (of which 4 have an international curriculum, for a total of 5 Double Degrees), 5 advanced professional courses of II level, a school of Higher Education, a postgraduate advanced training course, 2 Summer Schools and, 2 PhD programs each with two different paths continuously updated, in line with contemporary times and the demands of the labor market. Students can take advantage of a wide network of collaborations with various entities in the public and private sectors: schools, archives and libraries, museums, research institutes, editorial offices and publishing houses. The Department of Humanities Studies at Roma Tre University is among the 180 Departments of Excellence in the Italian university system for the 2023-2027 period.
