Course Content

The compulsory Sociology / Criminology and Criminal Justice modules provide a thorough grounding in key theoretical perspectives, research methodologies and wider social issues. Some modules include traditional forms of assessment, such as exams and assignments with a weight of 50% / 50%, while others use a wide range of methods such as portfolio, work placement, oral presentations, class test, research projects, dissertations. In Year 3 you will also work independently (with supervision) on an extended dissertation piece of work. Your dissertation includes research in an area of ​​your choice. A work placement option is available over the two years.
