Program Overview: Water and Wastewater Technician Certificate

The Water and Wastewater Technician Certificate at NAIT is the only program of its kind in Alberta, designed to equip you with the essential skills for a rewarding career in the growing water management industry. You will study water treatment processes, wastewater collection and treatment, water distribution systems, and the scientific and mathematical principles that underpin safe and efficient water management operations.

NAIT's Water and Wastewater Technician program is well recognized by employers across the industry and by Alberta Environment and Parks. Graduates are prepared to pursue provincial operator certification and enter a field where skilled professionals are consistently in demand across municipalities, industrial operations, and environmental consulting firms.
