Curriculum and Course Modules
The M.S. in Mining Engineering requires a minimum of 30 credit hours, including a minimum of nine credit hours of 6000-level lecture courses. The non-thesis option includes three credit hours for a semester project (MIN ENG 6080), while the thesis option includes research credit hours. Coursework covers mining methods, mineral processing, environmental sustainability, and advanced technologies in mining.
Surface Mining Methods
