Department of Nutrition and Dietetics

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at IMU aims to train individuals who will take an active role in:

• Increasing awareness about health preservation
• Enhancing life span and quality of life
• Treating illnesses through proper nutrition
• Promoting a balanced diet with a focus on the relationship between health and nutrition

Program Duration and Structure

• The duration of the program is four years, with the language of instruction being Turkish.
• By the end of the third year, students participate in a three-week summer practice program.
• During the final year, students complete a seven-month internship program with a general emphasis on practical experience.

The internship takes place in hospitals, diet/fitness centers, long-term care facilities, and county health departments. Students will actively engage in solving nutrition-related issues under the supervision of professors and specialized dietitians.
