The Conference Interpreting PG Dip at London Metropolitan University prepares you for professional work as a conference interpreter in international organisations and the private market. You will gain practical experience in a state-of-the-art interpreting suite equipped with the same technology used by institutions such as the European Union and the United Nations.

This program covers long consecutive interpreting, simultaneous interpreting, and the professional skills needed to establish yourself as a freelance linguist. You will study conference interpreting from both EU and UN perspectives, helping you prepare for the accreditation tests required to work for these institutions. The course is offered in multiple language pairs with English, including Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

The PG Dip can be studied as a stand-alone qualification or as a stepping stone to the full Conference Interpreting MA. A distance learning option is available, with on-campus and remote students taught together in a synchronous hybrid mode as one community of learners.
