The Master in Mobility Design at IED Torino explores mobility as a complex web of tangible and intangible relationships between people, society, and the environment. The program is organized around four interconnected thematic streams that foster a transdisciplinary mindset. Each stream enables students to work across scales, from personal experience to urban and global systems, reimagining movement as a regenerative and inclusive practice.
Equips you with a cross-disciplinary toolkit blending critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and adaptability to tackle complex real-world mobility challenges through transdisciplinary methodologies.
Explores the micro scale of mobility, focusing on how users interact with products and interfaces, designing experiences that engage both emotionally and cognitively while prioritizing user needs and preferences.
Addresses the meso scale of mobility design, mastering the dynamic between user, vehicle, and context, including urban mobility, infrastructural integration, and resilient interconnected systems.
Examines the macro scale of mobility encompassing global chains and flows, impacting migration, food distribution, material sourcing, geopolitics, economics, and sustainability on a global level.
