Turkish Language and Literature

The Department of Turkish Language and Literature at İstinye University was established in 2017. The quota of our department was determined as 60 people in 2017; in 2018, the quota was reduced to 40. The language of instruction in our department is Turkish and there is no English preparatory education. If our students choose elective academic and professional English courses during their undergraduate education, they will be able to graduate in 4 years without taking a preparatory class with academic level English.

The academic staff of our department is a young staff with high scientific productivity and educational skills, graduated from distinguished universities such as Oxford University, Boğaziçi University, Istanbul University, Marmara University. Our staff, which is specialized in old Turkish literature, new Turkish literature, old Turkish language and new Turkish language, will expand with the increase in the number of academics.
