Speech and Language Therapy (Tur)

A speech and language therapist is a health professional who works to prevent language, speech and voice disorders in individuals and provides rehabilitation for swallowing, language and speech disorders diagnosed by a relevant specialist physician. A speech and language therapist conducts awareness work on risk factors that may cause language, speech and voice disorders in society and individuals. He/she evaluates and implements therapy and rehabilitation plans for patients referred by a relevant specialist physician in his/her field. 

The Speech and Language Therapy undergraduate program aims to have students who have successfully completed their theoretical and clinical education based on evidence, have leadership qualities in the national and international field, contribute to science, adopt the principle of informing and raising awareness of the public, access information with a scientific entrepreneurial spirit and use information efficiently, and have the ability to work independently and in collaboration with an interdisciplinary approach.

Mission

The Speech and Language Therapy undergraduate program aims to develop students' reasoning powers and problem-solving skills and aims to train competent and adequate Speech and Language Therapists who can work in both health services and academic studies within the framework of ethical rules.
