The Nutrition and Dietetics Department offers solutions for determining, fulfilling needs and creating social awareness in this field.
Fields of Employment after Graduation
Graduates; It finds work in public institutions such as public and private hospitals, universities, public health centers, food industry, collective nutrition systems, food factories, hotel food and beverage departments, and al private and public institutions where collective nutrition is carried out.
About the Courses
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics includes basic sciences and occupational courses, as well as laboratory applications of subjects that require experimental and skillful skills.
Program Outcomes
1.To have the knowledge to access, evaluate and apply advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
2.To be able to interpret and evaluate data, identify and analyze problems, and develop evidence-based solutions by using advanced knowledge and skills in the collection, interpretation, application and announcement of results of data related to the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
3.Ability to independently conduct advanced research in the field
4.Ability to carry out studies related to the field independently and to take responsibility individually and as a team member to solve unforeseen and complex problems encountered in applications in the field.
5.Planning and managing activities that support the development of the work team under his/her responsibility in project work related to his/her field.
6.To be able to critically evaluate the advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics, to determine and meet learning needs, and to have a positive attitude towards lifelong learning.
7.To be able to convey and share his/her thoughts and solution suggestions for problems with experts or non-experts by using all kinds of written and verbal communication tools, by supporting them with quantitative and qualitative data on the level of knowledge and skills he/she has in the field.
8.To be able to organize and implement projects, seminars, trainings, etc. that will contribute to the social environment in the field.
9.To be able to use the necessary information and communication technologies by using computer software at least at the Advanced Level of the European Computer User License, in relation to the field's requirements and the subjects in which he/she is assigned.
10.Ability to follow information in the field and communicate with colleagues using a foreign language at least at the European Language Portfolio B1 General Level
11.To have social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the stages of collecting, interpreting, applying and announcing the results of data related to the field.
12.To have sufficient awareness of the universality of social rights, social justice, quality and cultural values, environmental protection, occupational health and safety.
