Determining and considering the geological and ground structure of the construction site during the survey, design and construction phases in civil engineering applications such as housing, transportation systems, bridges, dams and irrigation structures, power generation facilities, ports and marine structures, tunnels and underground structures, waste removal and treatment structures is of great importance for economic and safe construction. The destructive earthquakes in our country in recent years have highlighted the painful consequences of under-consideration of ground conditions in construction projects.
