Piri Reis University is a private foundation university established on February 8, 2008 by the Turkish Maritime Education Foundation (TUDEV). The university is an active member of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU) and the Black Sea Association of Maritime Institutions (BSAMI). Its Maritime Faculty adheres to the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), ensuring graduates meet global professional standards.
