The Management and Leadership Development program at Conestoga College is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate designed for aspiring and current managers who want to succeed in leadership roles across a wide variety of business contexts. Organizational Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
3Explore the foundational concepts of DEIB, including intercultural competencies, non-bias recruitment and selection, healthy workplace boundaries, and building diverse teams in remote, virtual, and hybrid settings.
Leadership Models and Applications for the Emerging Workforce
3Examine contemporary leadership theories and models, developing your personal leadership style and learning to apply various leadership approaches to motivate and guide teams in evolving workplace environments.
Organizational Effectiveness
3Study the behaviour of individuals and teams, including the design of management systems and structures, key performance indicators, conflict and motivation theories, organizational culture, and employee engagement.
Communication for Leaders
3Develop essential communication skills for leadership including perception, active listening, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, presentation skills, and understanding how cognition drives verbal and nonverbal communication behaviours.
Strategic Planning and Business Analytics
3Apply a continuous improvement lens to business functions such as financial and fiscal management, data analysis, risk mitigation, and project management to increase organizational effectiveness and profitability.
