Program Overview: Barrister Training Course at BPP University

The Barrister Training Course (BTC) at BPP University prepares you for a career at the Bar of England and Wales through intensive, practice-focused legal training. Taught by qualified lawyers with extensive courtroom experience, the course integrates specialist knowledge and practical skills through realistic legal scenarios that replicate life in chambers.

From day one, you will learn to think and act like a barrister. The BTC is taught through an integration of knowledge and barrister skills that replicates real-life practice, with advocacy training delivered in small groups of up to five students for maximum individual feedback and development.

On successful completion of the BTC, you will be eligible to be called to the Bar of England and Wales, subject to meeting the qualifying session requirements of your Inn of Court. BPP also offers a Career Guarantee — if you do not secure pupillage within six months of passing the BTC, you can access additional employability courses free of charge.
