Your four-year academic experience

will strengthen and refine your skills in communication, critical thinking, and collaboration. At graduation with a degree in German you will be prepared to:

• clearly communicate about basic everyday topics in German and be comfortable with engaging in a reciprocal and sustained conversation;
• demonstrate understanding of cultural concepts of German speaking countries; and
• engage in the interpretation and analysis of longer texts (literature and non-fiction), films and a variety of other sources ranging from the Middle Ages to the 21st century.
