Fashion Design BA

The BA (Hons) Fashion Design program at ARU provides a comprehensive education that blends creative design with technical expertise, preparing students for careers in the fashion industry. The three‑year route (or four years with a foundation year or placement) covers core modules such as Cut, Form and Construction, Design: Visual and Material Practice, Sustainable Design and Innovation Practice, and a final Major Project that culminates in a professional portfolio and collection. Students work in dedicated fashion workshops equipped with industry‑standard machines, digital tools like Clo3D and Gerber, and photography studios, while engaging with live industry briefs and collaborations with leading brands. Assessment combines practical projects, written assignments and regular feedback, fostering both artistic vision and professional readiness. The curriculum also emphasizes sustainability, gender‑neutral design and contemporary issues, ensuring graduates can innovate responsibly within the global fashion landscape.
