The BA (Hons) Fashion Design at ARU helps you forge an identity as a designer, specialising in menswear or womenswear. You will be hands-on from day one, creating your own fashion designs and engaging with all aspects of the design process in dedicated studios, including pattern cutting, draping, textiles, and digital media.
Based at the Cambridge School of Art, which has been fostering creativity since 1858, this program also covers contemporary fashion promotion, including marketing, styling, fashion photography, and art direction. You will learn about the ethics of the fashion industry and consider issues of sustainability and circular fashion to develop as a responsible industry professional.

Curriculum and Modules
The BA (Hons) Fashion Design curriculum takes you on a progressive journey from foundational design skills to an advanced final collection. You will develop expertise in pattern cutting, draping, textiles, digital fashion, sustainability, and professional practice across three years of study, with regular feedback from lecturers through a combination of written and practical assessments.

Admission to the BA (Hons) Fashion Design program is based on your academic qualifications, creative potential, and a digital portfolio review. - A Levels96 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent), including Grade C in Art, Design, or Media subject
