Curriculum and Specialisation Structure
The MITS is a two-year (200 credit point) course structured around a foundation semester, a primary technical specialisation, and a second specialisation or cross-listed elective units. Foundation Semester (Transition Units)
50 Credit PointsCovers fundamental ICT concepts including software design and programming, computer networks, web system development, and database technology. Required for students without an ICT background.
Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Specialisation
50 Credit PointsPrepares you for a career as a data analyst with skills to design and implement intelligent ICT solutions using AI and machine learning techniques, big data analytics, and data management technologies.
Cyber Security Specialisation

Software Development Specialisation

Admission Requirements
Admission to the MITS program requires qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. The program duration depends on your academic background: students with an ICT-related bachelor degree may qualify for the 12-unit (1.5-year) pathway, while those from non-ICT backgrounds complete the full 16-unit (2-year) program including a foundation transition semester.
